Fallout 4 Paladin Danse Full Romance 4K 60fps fallout 4 paladin danse

When the Sole Survivor first encounters Paladin Danse, he and what's left of his squad are holed up in Cambridge Police Station , unable to proceed with their mission.

Danse enlists the aid of the Survivor to help retrieve an item from the nearby ArcJet Systems complex. Afterward, he offers the Survivor the rank of Initiate in the Brotherhood of Steel, should they wish to join.

Danse becomes a full companion following Shadow of Steel provided the Survivor enlists with the Brotherhood. He is fiercely loyal to the order and travels with the Survivor to ensure their ideals are being upheld.

As their relationship develops Danse confesses to being burdened by the losses of colleagues, friends, and mentors killed by the many horrors of the wasteland.

Unwilling to let their sacrifices be for naught, he asserts the Institute and its synths must be eradicated for the safety of mankind.

He believes synths are the embodiment of technology spiraling out of control, and their existence could bring about the end of humanity.

As the main story progresses the Sole Survivor will have an opportunity to hack into the Institute's mainframe. Should they provide the Brotherhood with a copy of this data it is confirmed through DNA analysis that Paladin Danse himself is a missing synth, designated M Outraged by the apparent infiltration of his inner circle, Elder Maxson orders the Survivor to track Danse down and execute him.

Once located, a suicidal Danse is adamant he did not know he was a synth. The disgraced paladin then encourages the Survivor to carry out their orders, insisting that he "must be the example, not the exception.

If persuaded to run Danse will leave the bunker only to find that a suspicious Elder Maxson has followed the Survivor to his hiding place.

A confrontation will occur in which the Survivor will again have to decide the synth's fate. Should Danse survive the events of Blind Betrayal he will be grateful and, with Maxson's promise not to have him hunted down, stays to aid the Survivor in their mission.

When they rendezvous sometime later Danse is still coming to terms with his nature. Though grateful to the Sole Survivor for saving him, the sudden loss of his identity, memories, and career leave him grasping for answers.

The Sole Survivor can attempt to comfort him and, if so desired, may express a romantic interest. Danse will recoil at first, shocked the Sole Survivor could be in love with a synth but eventually admits to feeling the same way.

He asks for patience as he works through his "human emotions" and vows to remain steadfast at his partner's side.

Danse has the authority to grant the Sole Survivor membership into the Brotherhood of Steel. Paladin Danse can be acquired at the shop by any player character that has Charisma.

When he is the active companion and there is another player character within two spaces, the owner can exhaust him to move the target character one space in any direction.

If the owner has the Idolized trait when they do this, they will lose it. When the player character performs the camp action, he will become unexhausted.

However, if the player character does not have the Idolized trait, he must be discarded. Unused dialogue suggests that Paladin Danse and the Sole Survivor were originally able to challenge Maxson's authority as elder through combat according to "the Litany.

Just watch your back. Kill many brothers. Someday Strong smash. We have nothing to say to each other. If this happens, on PC one can use the moveto console command to move Danse next to the player character.

He can also be brought back by building and using a bell, then using a bed, he will be right next to the bell when you wake up.

He will reappear after completing the quest The Nuclear Option Minutemen. When looking into his inventory he clearly does not have X armor.

This can be fixed by re-equipping the T power armor that is listed equipped in his inventory. Since the Brotherhood of Steel members will attack him on sight, the settlers might join the firefight as well, triggering a massive firefight.

The only way of "fixing" this is letting Danse and settlers clean the place up and when the essential BoS NPCs are down, talk to Danse immediately and ask him to join.

Now leave the airport and fast-travel to another location so one can safely re-assign him to another settlement. The fusion core never runs out of power.

This is likely due to him picking up both the fusion core and the Gatling laser at the same time. Additionally, if any of those power armor parts are unequipped, Danse won't get back his old armor, but rather the power armor frame will be visible.

It seems this has also in some way decreased his total carry weight drastically, to the point where he can only carry a bit over 10 pounds, even after emptying out his entire inventory.

It is advised to let Danse keep his power armor on. This is likely due to his own power armor pieces still being in his inventory, and taking up carrying capacity, albeit still being invisible, much like follower weapons.

Use the console command de4d. After doing so, de4d. Put his gear in a container and command Danse then have him inspect the container as many times as there are items in a container.

The key being to stand back far enough from the container when in companion command mode, otherwise the Sole Survivor can see contents of the container.

Command and Trade to equip the gear. PC Danse may bug where one can no longer talk to him, even if the Sole Survivor hasn't completed the main storyline.

If he does, one will no longer be able to finish any quest where the player character has to talk to him.

The only thing that seems to solve this problem is to reload a save from before ever having any contact with him.

No known fix can be worked around on PC by using console commands to disable Danse. Use 5de4d. Then use 5de4d. Inside Cambridge Police Station.

As I was perusing this list, I came across an image of Danse under the heading "M I'm just not very good at these sort of things. I grew up alone in the Capital Wasteland.

Spent most of my childhood picking through the ruins and selling scrap. When I was a bit older, and had a few caps to my name, I moved into Rivet City and opened a junk stand.

Like I said, a momentous time. How do you keep track of them all? I am hungry, I am sleepy. The list goes on. I am heartbroken by this death and Its the first time a game has touched me like this.

Bravo, Fallout. Honestly, this was a great highlight to the game's story. You genuinely enjoy danse as I character, and you weren't aware of all your options.

That experience in itself was unique to you. Own your decision. The Brotherhood gave you an order, and you gotta obey.

Danse was the enemy, he had to go. What now? I remember seeing some footage of scenes that were pulled where Maxson turns up and gives you some grief, but I didn't think they were accessible in vanilla.

I've never used max charisma I go to 6 for local leader and I've convinced Maxson plenty of times. The checks dont work like in previous game where you need a specific stat, but it's a chance based system where your stat affects the chance to succeed.

I've persuaded Maxson with one charisma before. This is untrue. It's kind of percentage based. Essentially, the higher your charisma the more likely you'll succeed.

With maxed charisma you'll basically get every speech check short of red ones done without a single issue, unless you're particularly unlucky.

Just that you can succeed with a charisma of 1. Oh yeah, but essentially having higher charisma means you don't need to save scum an outrageous amount of times.

Additionally, save scumming certain things can be a particular pain. Such as when characters go into a wall of dialogue and then at the end is like three speech checks you got to push through.

Except with some dialogue bits where they just go on and on. Maxon is a notable repeat offender of blabbing off long winded speeches at just about every dialogue sequence.

Save when you get to respond before picking the option. You get to avoid listening to dialogue again and get to completely neglect charisma for speech checks.

It works like it did in Fallout 3 where your speech skills, perks and charisma increase the odds to roll a successful speech check.

Like if you where playing DnD almost. You can trick the Brotherhood into thinking he's dead, too, I believe. Something with the dogtags I think.

That is why I have never had the opportunity, never pushed charisma higher than local leader at 5 or 6. I let Danse live by playing a minutemen run and if you finish the main quest whilst ignoring the BoS then Danse still on the Prydwen and what's-her-face at Cambridge Police Station telling you how good you are for saving Danse, but it all seems a bit broken somehow.

I still had to exile him on my survival runs. I made the mistake of leaving him at my main settlement and taking a vertibird there, and oh, what fireworks ensued.

I could have just taken the bird somewhere nearby, but it was easier to just send him somewhere else.

If you save Danse, you are enemies with the BoS when Danse is your companion. I saved him because my character was in love with him, but it was dicey.

If the Brotherhood shows up when you are together, Danse goes ape and attacks them. If I remember correctly, you offer to kill Danse and don't and then lie to Elder Maxson.

He may not believe you, but he doesn't ask questions. He loved Danse, too. I believe the highest quality in fallout 4.

They are very well written and realistic. It is very sad. Well, Piper and Nick are well written certainly.

Cait's an offensive cartoon from the 30s and Strong is the worst written character in the franchise's history by far.

I disliked F4 around release time - it's a shallower Fallout game than previous ones, but replaying it recently I did a different playthrough.

I only followed quests and didn't wander around that much, since the whole game is go here and shoot there.

With a mod allowing me several companions at once I just wandered around with a party and following the questlines was a good experience. All the companions commented on stuff and it felt lively.

Without them it would have been a boring game. I gotta go back and play itagain but actually use companions. After playing so much mass effect and then the outer worlds I feel I should explore the companions of fallout a bit better.

Can't you kill Maxon still? I thought you could kill him at the confrontation, but it would make the BoS hostile.

The speech check hasn't failed for me yet, so I've never gotten to try. In Fallout New Vegas your companions could be killed in certain difficulty levels.

Also, Deathclaws are absolutely no laughing matter for any level character. Both are relevant. I decided to play through New Vegas again on the hardest mode a few months ago.

I had never messed with her before, but I had just recently played Dead Money, so with that fresh on my mind, it was incredible. As we wandered the wastes she told me her story bit by bit, and it was impressively deep and rich.

The way she is rejected by the BoS for her ideologies even though she loves them and wants to help them also reminded me of my own up bringing and struggle with rebellion against overly religious parents.

I became really attached to Veronica, and we made it through most of the game together, and it was really a pain to make sure we both survived.

We ended up screwing around a bit too long scavenging before the journey to Hidden Valley and got caught in the wastes after sunset.

I got separated from Veronica in the dark and went looking for her. It slowly turned around and then bellowed that horrific roar at me.

Pucker factor was measured at psi. I had barely made a dent in its health bar before the Deathclaw was hot on my heels, and I spotted a shack in the distance I might be able to hide in.

I sprinted that way, not stopping or slowing down to even look as I could feel the Deathclaw hot on my heels. Suddenly I heard gunshots, and looked back and Veronica had appeared out of nowhere and was charging the Deathclaw alone, blasting away at it like a madwoman with a 10mm pistol.

I watched in horror as the Deathclaw hit her so hard it threw her to the ground several yards from where she was standing, and watched in horror as it meandered over to the woman I had tried so hard to keep alive and ripped her to pieces.

Her distraction gave me just long enough to get to the shack in a panic and dive inside. As I stared at the loading screen I felt terrible, but then as I looked at the loading screen my heart absolutely sank.

His sexuality is not so unimportant he never mentions it or it never affects his motivations. It's part of his general "alienation," at least based on his comment that lovers make poor confidants as an explanation why he doesn't have anyone he can open up to.

It's iirc also a possible recruitment method, since he's a companion that doesn't just join you. Sharing that with him by having the Confirmed Bachelor perk allows you recruit him.

But he's also enough more than just his sexuality that both his quest and core personal dilemma whether to keep to the Remnant legacy, or let go and fully focus on the Followers are unrelated.

He's got an incredible amount of depth, and feels more like a person whose homosexuality is part of their identity, than "the Gay Companion".

I thought you said they were your favourites because you're gay, not because they have more depth than that they're gay.

Hence the disclaimer at the start. Like you I'm not gay either but I can sympathize with a lot with his struggles. Either characters in other games are so underdeveloped that being LGBT is the character's only trait or it's literally their only trait.

If I was gay I'd take issue with that. Most of New Vegas' cast are good of excellent writing. It's a weird situation, tbh. There is a mod that restores cut content and spoken dialogue!!

You wanna Danse?
